Company Management

Sebastian Leichtfuss

Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Leichtfuß

Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Leichtfuss is the General Manager of Turbo Science GmbH. Throughout his career, he has developed a unique set of skills specializing in the numerical design of aerodynamic and structural turbomachinery engineering problems.

His research at the Institute of Gas Turbines and Aerospace Propulsion at the Technische Universität Darmstadt focused on aerodynamic interactions between fluid and structural components of a jet engine compressor. In addition to numerical design, he has been closely involved in turbomachinery test rig development and their subsequent operation. He is currently the leader of the Turbocharger Research Group at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and conducts computational optimization analysis of small gas turbines.

Herr Schiffer

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Peter Schiffer

Professor Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Peter Schiffer is the Scientific Director at Turbo Science GmbH. Prior to his appointment as head of the Institute of Gas Turbines and Aerospace Propulsion at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, he held a managing position in the Combustion Chamber and Turbine departments at Rolls Royce. At present, in addition, to his position as head of the Institute of Gas Turbines and Aerospace Propulsion, Prof. Dr. Schiffer is also the director of the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centers: "Combustor and Turbine Aerothermal Interaction".

He is a highly-respected expert in the areas of thermodynamic cycle optimization, compressor and turbine aerodynamics, as well as cooling techniques for components under high thermal loads.
